Are Turkey's tourism markets converging? Evidence from the two-step LM and three-step RALS-LM unit root tests

In this study, we aim to analyse whether Turkey's 14 major tourist source markets are converging by using monthly data over the period January 1996 to December 2012. To this aim, we use the recently developed two-step Lagrange multiplier (LM) and three-step residual augmented least squares-Lagrange multiplier (RALS-LM) unit root tests that allow for two structural breaks in data. The results indicate that 10 out of 14 markets are converging, meaning that tourism policies and strategies directed at these markets are successful. Furthermore, the break points correspond to the important political, social, natural and economic events such as crisis, earthquake, disease and terrorist attack.     

教学型大学课堂教学质量评价维度结构探讨

近年来,随着教育教学改革的推进,高校课堂教学质量成为社会关注的热点问题,但很少有研究探讨教学型大学课堂教学质量评价。本文采用文献法与深度访谈法,构建了教学型大学课堂教学质量评价体系。研究结果表明:教学型大学课堂教学质量评价主要有八个维度:教学目标制定、教学时间管理、教学技巧、教学监管、教学反馈、教学改善、教学沟通及承担非教学责任。基于此,对教学型大学课堂教学质量评价提供了一些实践启示。     

澳大利亚社区口译教学及其启示

近年来，我国的社区口译需求呈上升趋势，但合格的专业社区口译员相当紧缺。澳大利亚成熟的社区口译人才培养机制，帮助这个多元文化国家建立起一个发达的社区口译服务系统。通过分析澳大利亚社区口译教学体系，能对我国的社区口译人才培养带来一定的启发。     

基于“双主模式”的微观经济学教学设计与实验

教学模式改革是提高教学效果的关键。提出将“主导—主体”双主教学模式应用于微观经济学的教学活动中。论述了基于双主模式的微观经济学教学设计，并对其在具体课程教学中的应用效果进行调查和统计分析。结果表明，对于微观经济学的基本概念和基本原理，应用传统教学模式与应用双主教学模式效果相近；对于实践应用方面，双主模式比传统模式的教学效果更好。     

Students' persistent preconceptions and learning economic principles

Economic views held by the general public tend to differ significantly from those of economic experts. Would these differences fade away if people were exposed to some economic instruction? In this article, the authors identify college students' preconceptions about economic issues at the beginning of the semester, verify their persistence throughout the semester, and test whether their beliefs are correlated to course performance. The authors conduct a survey at the beginning and end of the semester on a sample of first-year students taking an economic principles course. They find evidence of preconception persistence and reasoning inconsistencies, pointing to some cognitive biases as a plausible cause. Most students do not integrate the newly learned tools into their thinking process, even if they perform well in tests.     

服装CAD课程建设与教学改革研究

通过文献搜集和实地调研等方法进行相关研究,得出服装CAD课程的教学现状种种不足,在此基础上,提出通过其软硬件建设、师资队伍建设以及网络课堂建设等三个方面完善服装CAD课程建设工作,并从教学内容、教学方法以及教学评估等方面对服装CAD课程进行教学改革尝试,以期更好地促进服装CAD课程的教学完善。     

Panel asymmetric nonlinear unit root test and PPP in Africa

This study revisits purchasing power parity (PPP) theory for 20 African countries using panel asymmetric nonlinear unit root test proposed by Emirmahmutoglu and Omay (2014), through the sequential panel selection method of Chortareas and Kapetanios (2009). While standard panel unit root tests fail to support the PPP, the empirical results from panel asymmetric nonlinear unit root test do support the PPP. However, additional tests reveal that support in all 20 African countries is mostly due to stationarity of the real effective exchange rates of Ghana and Rwanda where the adjustment process towards equilibrium is nonlinear and asymmetric.
